Sezana’s botanic garden opens its doors…

Do you remember Villa Mirasasso with its wonderful greenhouse? I’d written about it some time ago and lots of you loved it

A year has passed and I’ve returned for another visit, but this time I’m not here for just a walk in the beautiful park, but for the presentation of their 2017 Event Calander!

This year the park will be open to everyone with a programme of incredible events.

In this enchanting location, on the 11th of march, the first workshop “Everything about roses” took place, the first of a list of appointments to promote the local territory; the events will have various topics, from stone work to remodelling classes, photography exhibitions, Slovenian wine tasting events, exhibitions of parrots and exotic birds.

But the event that you can’t miss is the 8th of July, and it’s for Tango lovers! A spectacular event that will take part in between the old trees of the park and the 1890 greenhouse, with a live orchestra and a trip through the most traditional Argentinian tango music; all this will be filled with the passion of the dancers with their swift romantic movements to the notes of this seducing dance.

Tango Fatal is an appointment to not miss!

And for the Christmas period Villa Mirasasso is planning a workshop that starts in November where you can learn to create decorations for the Advent period and on the 22nd of December they have already planned the great evening concert “Christmas Concert in the Garden”.

All the workshops have a limited number of places and the teachers will also be speaking Italian : and you can book a place. The events are open to everyone who loves this beautiful garden.

Here are the hours for visiting the park and the greenhouse, so you don’t risk going there at the wrong time…

Botanic garden:

From the 1st of May to the 30th of September: Mondays to Fridays 7am-7pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-7pm

From the 1st of October to the 30th of April: Mondays to Fridays 7am-3pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 7pm

The greenhouse:

All year round from Mondays to Fridays 7am-3pm
